Child Welfare Case Examples
Examples of Practice by Real Practitioners with Real Families
We are constantly asked by practitioners from all over the world to share examples of direct work with families and the documentation that goes with it. This makes so much sense! People need to see what it actually looks like and a great place to start is by sharing practice examples from real practitioners working with real families.
We hope that by sharing these case examples with you, you will have new vision for how the difficult task of child protection work can be undertaken WITH families while keeping children at the center.
To protect the privacy of the families, all names have been changed. In order to maintain the integrity of these examples, most of the details appear exactly as they were in the actual case documentation. As such, the examples are viewable but not available for download. Participants in this 'course' are prohibited from reproducing or publishing the examples seen here in any form or context without the expressed written consent of SafeGenerations.
The case examples included in this course are far from perfect! They show the reality of the work...the good, the bad and the sometimes ugly! Course participants are encouraged to use the comment box at the bottom of each module as a place to engage in discussion, post questions and share ideas. While you are encouraged to share and discuss your own cases, be advised that this site is not encrypted so please refrain from posting any identifying information.
